RDA Implementation and Training
Librarians across CUNY's functional areas are beginning preparations for the implementation of RDA. The most current information and all working documentation may be found on the Technical Services Wiki.
In the first two years of implementation, the Office of Library Services is providing seats for 40 concurrent users of the RDA Toolkit.
RDA Basics:
- RDA is currently being used by a number of libraries. In addition, LC catalogers who have been trained, will catalog using RDA beginning in November 2011. Full adoption by LC, NLM, and NAL will likely being in January 2013
- Libraries may purchase and start using RDA as soon as they like.
- The records will probably be identified in OCLC with an 040 $$ e rda.
