What constitutes an appropriate number of records for batch loading?

Due to limitations in staff and system time, there are lower and upper thresholds for batch loading records. Generally speaking, sets of 50 records or larger are appropriate for submission. The upper limit is to some extent dependent on the number of schools which wish to have a record set loaded but should be considered as 100,000 records.

For larger numbers of records, please contact OLS via a work order, to explore alternative ways of addressing your library's needs.

In the case of subscription collections, colleges are responsible for maintaining added and dropped titles.
