CUNY has a DSpace powered institutional repository available for use by all CUNY libraries. The URL for the system is: http://dspace.cuny.edu/
Each CUNY library has an existing community in the system that can be used to build collections and create additional sub-communities. Currently, LaGuardia Community College provides technical support for the institutional repository as a service to the larger CUNY community. Contact Karen Bobb at LaGuardia Community College for account and access information.
Collections which are added to DSpace must be open access and available for use by the public. Items which are under embargo may have placeholder records added to the system until such a time as they are available for open use.
Batch loading of large record sets is not supported. Items must be added individually via the DSpace interface.
No personally-identifiable information such as Social Security numbers, medical records or medical insurance data covered by HIPAA may be stored in DSpace.
